A Nia Dance Class is not like any other dance class. It is so much more than just a workout. Nia offers a holistic fusion of dance, martial arts and healing arts to create an effective, fun and transformational workout for the body, mind and spirit. It will leave you wanting more!

Nia can improve your flexibility, fitness and mental wellbeing and also your self-confidence as there is no right or wrong way of dancing. You will never be told that you are doing it wrong...it is your body, so move in a way that feels good for you, with me to guide you.

Nia is a sensory based movement class that draws from martial arts, dance arts and the healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind and spirit. Classes are taken barefoot (gripper socks can be worn if needed) and the music is soul-stirring and energising. Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: The base, the core and the upper extremities. Nia was created in 1983 by Debbie Rosas and Carlos AyaRosas.

Nia is a fitness class founded in learning to improve our body awareness and benefit our movement ease and safety for sustaining fitness through all stages of life. It aids cardio function, flexibility and mental agility.

Nia classes are attended by all ages, all abilities, men, women and children. Nia teachers also come in all ages, shapes and sizes united by one thing; the love of Nia.
